This training is suitable for Bedfordshire Care Home staff (both nursing and care staff), who have residents with Parkinson’s Disease, or may be likely to care for these residents in the future. The aim is to improve awareness of the specific needs, therapies and strategies associated with care for these residents, to improve the understanding, confidence and skills among staff, as well as the care experience of your residents.

The venue will accommodate a maximum of 100 delegates and we need to fill every seat! We are keen to have representation from as many Bedfordshire care homes as possible.

HOW TO APPLY

Please email me at Dominic.carter8@nhs.net by 30th April 2025, with the following details:

Your name:

The name of your Care Home:

How many staff you would like to nominate for this training (names not required yet):

Please be realistic about the number of staff you would like to nominate, bearing in mind this will be in the summer holiday season. Based on response, we will then notify you how many places we can offer you. Please be understanding if we cannot give you your full number of requested places – we are trying to be as inclusive as possible to all homes. Our vision would be that most homes have a Parkinson’s Champion, who could cascade some of this training to other staff in the home, or be a source of information, so that more people can benefit.
