• Participant’s name
• BCG membership status (Yes / No)

🎯 Course Outcomes

By the end of the session, participants will:

• Understand their legal position when making decisions on behalf of others.
• Understand how to assess whether someone has mental capacity.
• Identify who may be covered by the Mental Capacity Act.
• Understand how to act in a person’s best interests.
• Understand what is required to obtain valid consent.
• Recognise the importance of respecting people’s choices.
• Understand what is meant by the least restrictive option.
• Reinforce the importance of accurate record keeping.
• Understand how to fulfil the requirements of Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS).
